On the evening of Wednesday, 13th November 2024, students from the energy societies of Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, LSE, and UCL came together for a first-of-its-kind networking event at the Imperial College Union. This inaugural gathering drew approximately 100 students motivated by the energy transition.

The evening featured 14 guest professionals representing diverse roles across the energy sector, from industry, technology, and investment. After a round of insightful introductions from the speakers, the event transitioned into informal networking over drinks, creating an engaging environment for us to connect and learn.

It was inspiring to be part of such a large group of students united by our interest in the energy transition. Thank you to our speakers for sharing their experiences and offering valuable guidance on navigating careers in this dynamic field.

 

This event has not only strengthened ties between our university energy societies but also set the stage for future collaborations. Until next year!
